What is the difference between brown and white boxes for Freihofer's cookies with chocolate chips?

I brought the brown box cookies chocolate chip at school classmate and was appalled that I would get the brown box on the white area. Is there a difference in recipes? Or is this girl just nuts?

I prefer the original brown boxes. I do not think there is a slight difference, but anyway Freihofer's wonderful and I can not get in Florida, unless my friend Woodstock leads down when she makes visit.
