Lib Tech 2010 Travis rice c2 btx or the Burton Custom Snowboard?
I am sort of an intermediate-beginner level snowboarder, I can go pretty fast down the slopes and make turns.
I'm about 5' 8"ish, 150lbs
I prefer speeding down the trails and occasionally trying out some jumps on the ramps purely made of snow, and some rails. In other words, freeriding and a little park.
I usually stick to places like Big Bear and Mountain High. They have groomed slopes, hard pack and ice, a playground with rails and ramps, and every once in a blue moon some powder.
Would the Travis Rice C2 be a good match for me or the Burton Custom? Out of the two, which one would you guys pick? Can you also explain why? Would Burton Cartel bindings be a good match up with the board?
And is the Travis Rice C2 btx pretty fun to snowboard with compared to regular cambered boards?

ok both of these are great boards, i've owed both (currently own the c2), and i love both of them. but i think everyone answering knows the obvious choice. the c2 power banana. it's different than other bananas, because it cambers at the nose and tail so it swerves out between your legs like an actual banana does, and then swerves back in. this makes it great for all mountain. it also has magne traction, so you got help on ice and catching edges. it's one of the top 5 boards on the market right now, and i would pick it over any board right now.
Burton Custom boards run on the ICS/EST system where you have to use Burton EST bindings because instead of the whole to put your base plate in with four screws, it's a line down the board, and 2 screws, so you can adjust your bindings to wherever you want them.. i think it's horrible because the screws loosen up very easy and you start sliding. the burton custom used to not be just in ICS form, loved it then, can't stand it anymore. i think you've got the obvious choice. some great bindings to go with the c2's are burton cartels. most famous bindings on the market right now. union forces are amazing as well as bent metal bindings. bent metal bindings are also made by Mervin, who manufactures Lib Tech boards.
