Best Park Snowboard Binding?
I just bought a new Burton Hero 2011 and need some help on getting bindings. My local shop is closed so i can't go there. Right now i have old Burton customs but they're broken now so i need a good pair of bindings. I'm 13, about 95 lbs and have size 8 boots. I ride in the park all the time to hit rails but like to hit jumps too. I've been looking around at Union, Rome, and Flux. I like Union because I've heard great about them. So what would you guys say is good for me?
My boot size is probably 7 then or 7.5 but my friend has Union bindings on his board and it is the same exact one. So I'm positive it'll work.
Go with a Medium sized binding, that'll get you through your boot sizes all the way up to size 10. As For the actual bindings theirs alot to consider: Stiffness, strap systems, materials....If you hit rails more then jumps then your gonna want to go with a more flexible binding so you can work your board better on rails...Now if you hit a bit of both worlds then you should go with a binding that lets you get some buttery presses while staying responsive enough to hit the booters. A.K.A. a medium flex bindings. Unfortunately you have a EST Channeled board so you cant go with any other binding company then burton bindings. This means that Union, Flux, Rome and every other company is out of the picture, you now have about 20 bindings to choose from...Make sure when you do go out and buy new bindings that they are Burton Channel Compatible, or else you may find yourself buying a new board!
